July • Day 26
Strength for the Long Haul
Day 207 of 365 • BALANCE
“If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.”
— Proverbs 24:10 (ESV)
Proverb Truth
When I was younger, I admired speed. But the older I get, the more I’ve come to admire endurance. Because life isn’t a sprint. It’s a marathon.
You don’t have to be spectacular. You simply have to keep walking. Keep praying. Keep loving. Keep trusting. Keep showing up. Because God has a remarkable way of honoring long obedience.
Jesus in Action
Jesus endured. Through rejection. Through suffering. Through the cross itself. And because He endured, we have hope.
Forged Wisdom
Marcus Aurelius wrote: “The impediment to action advances action. What stands in the way becomes the way.” God often uses the very things we wish He would remove to shape the people we’re becoming.
The No Limits Challenge
Don’t give up on something worthwhile. Keep going.
Prayer
Father, strengthen me for the long journey. Help me remain faithful when life becomes difficult. Amen.
