July • Day 25
Don’t Neglect Your Marriage
Day 206 of 365 • BALANCE
“Rejoice in the wife of your youth.”
— Proverbs 5:18 (ESV)
Proverb Truth
I’ve learned something over the years that I wish I had understood earlier. Strong marriages don’t happen automatically. They happen intentionally.
Some of life’s sweetest memories have been built through ordinary moments shared with my wife. Conversations. Vacations. Hard seasons. Good seasons. Laughter. Prayer. Growing older together.
Marriages aren’t strengthened through grand gestures nearly as much as through daily attention. Because love thrives where attention lives.
Jesus in Action
Jesus loves His bride—the Church—with unwavering faithfulness. Patiently. Sacrificially. Completely. And every Christian marriage finds its model in Him.
Forged Wisdom
Marcus Aurelius wrote: “Accept the things to which fate binds you, and love the people with whom fate brings you together.” Treasure the people God has graciously placed beside you.
The No Limits Challenge
Spend intentional time with your spouse this week. Not as roommates. Not as business partners. As friends.
Prayer
Father, thank You for the gift of marriage. Help me love faithfully, listen well, and never take for granted the person You’ve entrusted to walk beside me. Amen.
