Rest Is Productive

Proverb Truth
I think many men secretly believe rest must be earned. But over the years, I’ve discovered that exhaustion is not a badge of honor. It’s often a warning sign.
Rest wasn’t laziness. It was trust. It was acknowledging that God remains faithful even when I stop working.
Resting requires humility. It requires faith. And perhaps that’s why God established Sabbath long before we thought we needed it.
Jesus in Action
Jesus slept during storms. He withdrew from crowds. He spent quiet moments with His Father. If the Son of God embraced rest, perhaps we should stop feeling guilty about it.
Forged Wisdom
Marcus Aurelius wrote: “Men seek retreats for themselves…but nowhere can a man find a quieter or more untroubled retreat than in his own soul.” Rest isn’t merely physical. It’s spiritual.
The No Limits Challenge
Schedule rest before life forces it upon you.
Prayer
Father, teach me to trust You enough to rest. Remind me that my worth is found in being Your son, not in being endlessly productive. Amen.
