The Strength of Loyalty

“Do not forsake your friend and your father’s friend.”

Proverb Truth
I’ve noticed something with age. Loyalty seems to be increasingly rare. People are quick to move on. Quick to cancel. Quick to walk away.
But I’ve come to appreciate the beauty of people who stay. People who keep showing up. People who remain.
Because loyalty isn’t flashy. But over time, it becomes one of the most beautiful qualities a person can possess. Shared history creates deep roots. And deep roots withstand storms.
Jesus in Action
Even knowing His disciples would fail Him, Jesus loved them to the end. His loyalty wasn’t dependent upon their perfection.
Forged Wisdom
Epictetus wrote: “Never call yourself a philosopher, and never talk much among the ignorant about your principles, but show them by your actions.” Faithfulness is demonstrated, not advertised.

Reach out to an old friend and reconnect.
Prayer
Father, help me become the kind of man who remains loyal, dependable, and steadfast through every season. Amen.
