Forgiveness Keeps Brotherhood Alive

One thing life teaches quickly is that friendships are made up of imperfect people. Which means disappointment is inevitable.

I’ve learned that forgiveness is not a sign of weakness. It’s a sign of maturity. Because resentment is heavy. And carrying bitterness eventually exhausts the soul.

Some of my deepest friendships survived not because we never hurt each other, but because we learned how to extend grace.

Jesus forgave Peter after his denial. Not because Peter deserved it. But because grace always has the final word.

Epictetus wrote: “When someone does you wrong, immediately consider what notion of good or evil led him to do it.” Compassion often grows when understanding enters the room.
