Speak Truth with Love

“Faithful are the wounds of a friend; profuse are the kisses of an enemy.”

Proverb Truth
One of the greatest gifts God has ever given me has been friends who loved me enough to tell me the truth. Not harshly. Not arrogantly. But lovingly.
Because real friends don’t simply tell us what we want to hear. They help us become who God created us to be.
Some of the most important conversations in my life weren’t comfortable. But they were necessary. Because love isn’t afraid of honesty. And honesty wrapped in grace becomes one of the greatest expressions of brotherhood.
Jesus in Action
Jesus always spoke truth. But He never used truth as a weapon. He used it to heal. To restore. To redeem.
Forged Wisdom
Epictetus wrote: “If anyone tells you that a certain person speaks ill of you, do not make excuses, but answer, ‘He does not know my other faults, else he would not have mentioned only these.’”
The No Limits Challenge
Invite a trusted brother to speak honestly into your life.
Prayer
Father, thank You for friends who sharpen me and love me enough to tell me the truth. Help me speak with grace and listen with humility. Amen.
