May  •  Day 8

Finish What You Start

Day 128 of 365  •  FINANCES

The hand of the diligent will rule, while the slothful will be put to forced labor.

Proverbs 12:24 (ESV)

Proverb Truth

Starting has never been my biggest challenge. Finishing has. Most of us have started things with great enthusiasm. New goals. New plans. New dreams.

But somewhere in the middle, life gets busy. Discouragement shows up. And suddenly quitting starts to sound reasonable.

The older I get, the more I admire people who finish. Not because they never get tired. Not because they never struggle. But because they keep going. And perhaps that’s what faithfulness really looks like. Not perfection. Not constant motivation. Just perseverance.

Jesus in Action

When Jesus hung on the cross, His final words included these: “It is finished.” He completed what the Father had entrusted to Him. And because He finished, we have hope.

Forged Wisdom

Seneca wrote: “As long as you live, keep learning how to live.” And perhaps part of learning how to live is learning how to finish.

The No Limits Challenge

Recommit yourself to something worth finishing.

Prayer

Father, strengthen me when I become weary. Help me remain faithful and teach me to finish what You’ve placed before me. Amen.
