Finish Well

I think most men start strong. Dreams are exciting. Beginnings are full of energy. But life has taught me that finishing well is far more difficult than starting well.

I’ve watched men who achieved great things early in life slowly lose sight of what mattered most. And I’ve watched ordinary men quietly remain faithful year after year, eventually leaving behind extraordinary lives.

That’s why I’ve come to admire consistency more than brilliance. Because faithfulness compounds. Not perfection. Not greatness. Faithfulness.

Jesus finished what His Father gave Him to do. Even when the road became painful. And because He finished, we have hope.

Seneca wrote: “It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare; it is because we do not dare that things are difficult.” The race isn’t won by those who start the fastest. It’s won by those who remain faithful.
