Building Something Bigger Than Yourself

When I was younger, I thought success was mostly about building something with my name attached to it. But life has changed my definition of what meaningful really means.

The most fulfilled people I know are involved in something bigger than themselves. They’re pouring into younger people. Serving their communities. Supporting ministries. Helping others discover Christ.

And somehow, those men and women seem to possess a joy that accomplishment alone never produces. Maybe that’s because God never designed us to be the center of our own story.

Jesus invested His life in something far greater than earthly success. Everything He did pointed people toward His Father and toward eternity.

Seneca wrote: “As long as you live, keep learning how to live.” Learning how to live often means learning how to live for something bigger than yourself.
