Rich Toward God

Proverb Truth
I’ve noticed that the older we get, the more we begin to understand what really gives us security. When we’re young, it’s easy to believe that enough money will eliminate fear.
I remember talking with a retired gentleman who had experienced both prosperity and hardship. Looking back over decades, he smiled and said, “God has been faithful through all of it.”
Perhaps that’s the greatest wealth a man can possess. Not confidence in his portfolio. Confidence in his Father.
Jesus in Action
Jesus spoke often about storing up treasures in heaven because He knew something we frequently forget. The things we can see are temporary. The things we cannot see are eternal.
Forged Wisdom
Seneca wrote: “He who has made a fair compact with poverty is rich.” Contentment and trust have always been far more valuable than abundance.
The No Limits Challenge
Spend time today thanking God not for what He has given you, but simply for who He is.
Prayer
Father, thank You for being my Provider, my Protector, and my peace. Help me never place my trust in temporary things. Teach me to become truly rich by resting securely in You. Amen.
