Choose Humility

Proverb Truth
I’ve noticed something over the years. Pride makes life heavy. It makes apologies difficult. It turns disagreements into battles. It causes us to protect our image instead of protecting our relationships.
The trouble with pride is that it usually hides itself well. It disguises itself as being right. It convinces us that admitting fault means losing.
But life has taught me that humility doesn’t weaken relationships. It strengthens them. Some of the strongest marriages I’ve seen weren’t built by two perfect people. They were built by two people who learned how to say, “I’m sorry.”
Jesus in Action
It’s hard to imagine anything more humbling than the Son of God leaving heaven to walk among us. He washed feet. He welcomed children. He touched lepers. And in doing so, He showed us that greatness isn’t found in being served. It’s found in serving.
Forged Wisdom
Musonius Rufus believed that humility and virtue always travel together. Because pride makes a man difficult to live with. Humility makes him safe.
The No Limits Challenge
Apologize quickly. Listen carefully. Choose the relationship over your ego.
Prayer
Father, protect me from pride. Teach me to walk in humility and help me become the kind of man who makes home feel safe, peaceful, and full of grace. Amen.
