March  •  Day 26

Steward Your Time

Day 85 of 365  •  FOCUS

A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest, and poverty will come upon you like a robber, and want like an armed man.

Proverbs 24:33–34 (ESV)

Proverb Truth

The older I get, the more I realize that time is one of God’s most valuable gifts.

Money can be replaced. Opportunities can return. But once a day is gone, it’s gone.

And if we’re honest, most of us don’t lose our time all at once. We lose it a few minutes at a time. A little distraction here. A little procrastination there. Before long, days become weeks, and weeks become years.

I remember talking with a man who was nearing retirement. He said something I’ve never forgotten. “Life moves faster than you think.” At the time, I nodded politely. Today, I understand exactly what he meant.

That’s why stewardship matters. Not because God is demanding productivity for productivity’s sake, but because every day is an opportunity to love, serve, grow, and invest in things that matter.

The question isn’t whether we have enough time. The question is whether we’re using the time we’ve been given wisely.

Jesus in Action

Jesus lived with urgency but never with panic. He understood His mission and invested His time accordingly. Every conversation, every miracle, every act of compassion reflected a life lived on purpose.

Forged Wisdom

Seneca wrote: “It is not that we have a short time to live, but that we waste much of it.”

Those words sting a little because they’re often true.

The No Limits Challenge

Pay attention to how you spend your time today. Ask yourself: “Does this align with the man I’m trying to become?”

Prayer

Father, help me steward my time wisely. Teach me to invest my days in things that matter and to honor You with the life You’ve entrusted to me. Amen.
