March  •  Day 20

Rest Matters

Day 79 of 365  •  FOCUS

If you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.

Proverbs 3:24 (ESV)

Proverb Truth

For a long time, I thought rest was something you earned.

Finish the project. Meet the deadline. Take care of everything. Then maybe you can rest.

The problem is, life rarely works that way. There’s always one more email. One more responsibility. One more thing demanding our attention.

And if we’re not careful, we start wearing exhaustion like a badge of honor. But God never designed us to live that way. Rest isn’t laziness. Rest is trust.

It’s recognizing that God can handle the world while we sleep. And maybe that’s harder for some of us than we’d like to admit.

Jesus in Action

Even Jesus withdrew from the crowds. He rested. He prayed. He stepped away.

Not because He was weak. Because He was wise.

Forged Wisdom

Musonius Rufus taught that balance and moderation are essential to a healthy life.

God would agree.

The No Limits Challenge

Create space for rest this week without guilt.

Prayer

Father, teach me to rest in You. Help me remember that my worth is not determined by my productivity but by being Your son. Amen.
