Finish with Joy

Proverb Truth
If you had asked me years ago what I hoped to have at this stage of life, I probably would have talked about accomplishments. Goals. Dreams. Success.
But what I desire most today is surprisingly simple. Joy. Not temporary happiness. Not excitement. Joy. The kind that remains through changing seasons. The kind that survives difficult days. The kind that grows stronger with gratitude.
Because I’ve learned that joy isn’t found in perfect circumstances. It isn’t waiting somewhere in the future. Joy is found in God’s presence.
And honestly, I want to finish that way. Not bitter. Not exhausted. Not cynical. But joyful.
Jesus in Action
Hebrews tells us that Jesus endured the cross “for the joy that was set before Him.” Even in suffering, joy remained before Him.
Forged Wisdom
Seneca wrote: “True happiness is to enjoy the present without anxious dependence upon the future.” And Scripture reveals the source of that happiness. The presence of God Himself.
The No Limits Challenge
Protect your joy. Not your image. Not your pride. Your joy.
Prayer
Father, help me finish my race with joy. Teach me to find my delight in You and not in circumstances. May Your presence remain the source of my peace and gladness. Amen.
