There Was More Grace Than I Realized

Proverb Truth
As I look back over the years, one thought keeps coming to mind. There was more grace than I realized. More protection. More provision. More mercy. More answered prayers. And honestly, more patience from God than I deserved.
There were doors He closed. Mistakes He redeemed. People He placed in my path. Lessons He patiently taught. And countless moments where His hand was working quietly behind the scenes.
At the time, I didn’t recognize all of it. I was too busy. Too focused on the next challenge. But age has given me perspective. And perspective has given me gratitude.
Because when I replay the story of my life, I don’t see perfection. I see grace. Grace after grace. Mercy after mercy. Blessing after blessing.
Jesus in Action
Jesus is grace personified. Every blessing ultimately points back to Him. And every act of mercy finds its source in the Father’s love.

Marcus Aurelius wrote: “Think of yourself as dead. You have lived your life. Now take what’s left and live it properly.” And perhaps living properly begins with gratitude.

Father, thank You for the countless mercies I failed to recognize at the time. Open my eyes to the abundance of Your grace and fill my heart with thanksgiving. Amen.
