Financial Peace Is a Gift

As I’ve grown older, I’ve come to appreciate things I barely thought about when I was younger. A peaceful home. Good health. A quiet evening. And financial peace. Not wealth. Peace.

Because there were seasons in my life when I carried burdens that kept me awake at night. Questions. Pressures. Responsibilities. And perhaps every provider knows that feeling.

But I’ve discovered that peace isn’t necessarily found in having everything figured out. Peace is found in trusting the One who does.

And perhaps that’s why some people with very little sleep peacefully while others with much live in constant anxiety. Because peace isn’t a number. It’s a posture. It’s trusting that God has been faithful in the past and will remain faithful in the future.

And looking back, I can honestly say that He has never failed me. Not once.

Jesus continually reminded His followers not to worry about tomorrow. Because tomorrow belongs to the Father. And perhaps that’s where our fears belong too.

Epictetus wrote: “It is not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters.” And perhaps faith transforms fear into peace.
