Leadership Looks Like Service

Proverb Truth
When I was younger, I imagined leadership as something impressive. But life—and marriage and fatherhood especially—have changed my definition.
Today, leadership looks like listening. It looks like patience. It looks like putting someone else’s needs ahead of your own.
My family doesn’t need me to be perfect. They don’t need me to have all the answers. But they do need to know that I love them. That I’m for them. That I’ll show up.
Jesus in Action
Jesus washed feet. The King of kings knelt down and served. And in doing so, He forever redefined greatness.

Seneca wrote: “He who does good to another does good also to himself.”

Look for one opportunity to serve someone in your family today.
Prayer
Father, teach me to lead through humility and service. Help me reflect the heart of Christ to the people You’ve entrusted to me. Amen.
