August  •  Day 23

Celebrate Progress

Day 235 of 365  •  FITNESS

A desire fulfilled is sweet to the soul.

Proverbs 13:19 (ESV)

Proverb Truth

I’ve noticed something about most men. We’re not very good at celebrating progress. We accomplish something, and almost immediately we move the goalposts.

Someone once told me, “Billy, it’s okay to celebrate what God has already done.” I needed to hear that. Because gratitude and celebration are part of stewardship too.

Sometimes it’s okay to pause. To smile. To give thanks.

Jesus in Action

Jesus celebrated. He attended weddings. He enjoyed meals. He rejoiced with friends. Joy and gratitude are part of healthy living.

Forged Wisdom

Musonius Rufus wrote: “The good life is found in appreciating what is sufficient.”

The No Limits Challenge

Celebrate something you’ve been overlooking. Progress deserves gratitude.

Prayer

Father, help me appreciate the blessings You’ve already provided. Teach me to celebrate progress and enjoy the journey. Amen.
