Strength Looks Different Now

Proverb Truth
I smile sometimes when I think about what strength meant to me when I was twenty-five. Back then, I measured strength in pounds lifted.
Today, I think strength looks different. Strength is patience. Strength is forgiveness. Strength is getting back up after disappointment. Strength is loving your wife after decades together. Strength is remaining faithful.
I hope that’s the kind of strength I continue to pursue. Not younger. Not faster. Stronger where it matters most.
Jesus in Action
Jesus displayed strength through humility. Through compassion. Through sacrifice. Heaven’s definition of strength has always been different from ours.

Ask yourself: “How has God redefined strength in my life?”
Prayer
Father, help me pursue the kind of strength that lasts. Teach me to value character above appearance and faithfulness above performance. Amen.
