August  •  Day 15

Strong Men Ask for Help

Day 227 of 365  •  FITNESS

Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.

Proverbs 11:14 (ESV)

Proverb Truth

I think one of the biggest lies men believe is that strength means independence. We think we should have all the answers. Handle all the problems.

But life has a way of humbling us. Eventually, we realize that none of us were designed to carry everything alone. Some of the strongest moments of my life have come when I finally admitted I needed help.

Perhaps one of the strongest words a man can say is not, “I’ve got this.” Perhaps it’s, “I need some help.”

Jesus in Action

Jesus surrounded Himself with people. Even in Gethsemane, He asked His closest friends to stay near. Strength and vulnerability have never been enemies.

Forged Wisdom

Musonius Rufus wrote: “No one can live well alone.”

The No Limits Challenge

Reach out to someone you trust. You don’t have to carry everything by yourself.

Prayer

Father, give me the humility to seek help when I need it. Thank You that I was never meant to walk this road alone. Amen.
