The Goal Is Availability

Proverb Truth
My goals have changed over the years. I no longer want to impress people. I want to be available. Available to my wife. Available to my children. Available to my grandchildren. Available to friends. Available to the work God still has for me.
I don’t want to simply make it to retirement. I want to enjoy the years God gives me.
Jesus in Action
Jesus gave Himself away freely because He continually replenished Himself through time with His Father. He remained available because He lived with healthy rhythms.
Forged Wisdom
Musonius Rufus wrote: “The purpose of strength is usefulness.”
The No Limits Challenge
Ask yourself: “Am I taking care of myself so I can continue taking care of others?”
Prayer
Father, help me steward my body so I may remain available to the people You’ve entrusted to me. Amen.
