July  •  Day 19

Protect Your Priorities

Day 200 of 365  •  BALANCE

Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you. Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure.

Proverbs 4:25–26 (ESV)

Proverb Truth

Years ago, I heard a pastor say, “If Satan can’t make you bad, he’ll make you busy.”

Most men don’t lose what matters most through one catastrophic decision. They lose it through neglect. Good things begin competing with important things.

Faith. Family. Friends. Fitness. Finances. Those pillars require protection. And perhaps one of the most spiritual things a man can do is simply decide what matters most—and refuse to apologize for living accordingly.

Jesus in Action

Jesus never seemed controlled by urgency. He always remained focused on His Father’s priorities. And because of that, He lived with peace.

Forged Wisdom

Marcus Aurelius wrote: “If you seek tranquility, do less.” Sometimes doing less allows us to become more.

The No Limits Challenge

Identify one thing that is stealing time from what matters most. Then make the adjustment.

Prayer

Father, help me guard the priorities You’ve entrusted to me. Give me wisdom to say yes to what matters and courage to say no to what doesn’t. Amen.
