Proverb Truth
I used to spend a lot of time thinking about the future. But I’ve discovered that life isn’t lived five years at a time. It’s lived one day at a time.
A prayer today. A workout today. A conversation with your wife today. A wise financial decision today. None of those things seem particularly dramatic. But life has taught me that ordinary days have a way of becoming extraordinary years.
Perhaps that’s why Jesus taught us to pray for daily bread. Not yearly bread. Daily bread.
Jesus in Action
Jesus never appeared anxious about tomorrow. He faithfully embraced the day His Father had placed before Him.

Marcus Aurelius wrote: “Do every act of your life as though it were the very last act of your life.” Today matters more than we sometimes realize.
The No Limits Challenge
Stop worrying about next year. Simply finish today well.
Prayer
Father, help me live faithfully today. Teach me not to become overwhelmed by tomorrow and remind me that Your grace is sufficient for this moment. Amen.
