April  •  Day 23

The Strength of Kindness

Day 113 of 365  •  FAMILY

A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

Proverbs 15:1 (ESV)

Proverb Truth

I’ve noticed that kindness often gets underestimated. People mistake it for weakness. But I’ve lived long enough to know that harshness is easy. Kindness takes strength.

It requires self-control. It requires humility. It requires remembering that everyone around us is carrying burdens we may never fully understand.

And perhaps that’s why kindness feels so healing. Because in a harsh world, gentle people stand out.

Jesus in Action

No one ever cared more deeply or spoke more truthfully than Jesus. Yet children ran toward Him. Broken people trusted Him. And weary souls found rest in His presence. His strength was clothed in kindness.

Forged Wisdom

Musonius Rufus taught that gentleness and virtue belong together. Strong men don’t use their strength to dominate. They use it to protect.

The No Limits Challenge

Speak kindly, especially when you’re tired.

Prayer

Father, make me a man whose words bring peace instead of pressure. Help me reflect the kindness of Christ in every relationship. Amen.
