Pray for Your Family

Proverb Truth
There have been many moments in my life when I felt powerless. Moments when I couldn’t fix the problem. Couldn’t protect the people I loved from every hurt. Couldn’t guarantee how things would turn out.
But over the years, I’ve discovered that one of the greatest things a man can do for his family happens quietly. He prays. Not because prayer guarantees an easy life. But because prayer reminds us that God loves our families even more than we do.
I’ve prayed prayers filled with confidence. And I’ve prayed prayers through tears. But I’ve never regretted placing the people I love into the hands of the One who loves them perfectly.
Jesus in Action
Jesus prayed for His disciples. He prayed for Peter. He prayed for future believers. And even now, Scripture tells us He intercedes for us. Love prays.

Musonius Rufus taught that virtue begins by recognizing our dependence upon what is greater than ourselves. Prayer is one of the ways we acknowledge that dependence.

Prayer
Father, thank You for loving my family more than I ever could. Guard them, guide them, and draw them closer to Yourself. Help me become a man who faithfully carries the people he loves before Your throne. Amen.
