The Power of Showing Up

Proverb Truth
When I was younger, I thought love was mostly about big things. Big sacrifices. Big decisions. Big moments. But life has convinced me otherwise. Love is often surprisingly ordinary.
It’s sitting in hospital rooms. Attending ball games. Helping with homework. Taking walks. Being available. Showing up.
The truth is, your family doesn’t need a superhero. They don’t need perfection. They don’t need a man who has all the answers. They just need you. Present. Available. Faithful.
And while that may not sound extraordinary, I’ve come to believe that showing up consistently is one of the most extraordinary things a man can do.
Jesus in Action
Over and over again, Jesus showed up. For the hurting. For the weary. For His friends. Even in His darkest hours, He continued loving the people around Him. Faithfulness was never something He occasionally practiced. It was simply who He was.
Forged Wisdom
Musonius Rufus believed that virtue is revealed through daily actions, not grand speeches. And perhaps that’s why showing up matters so much. Because love is measured less by intentions and more by presence.
The No Limits Challenge
Be fully present with someone you love today. Put down distractions. Look them in the eye. Show up.
Prayer
Father, thank You for always showing up for me. Help me reflect Your faithfulness to the people You’ve entrusted to my care. Teach me to love not only with words, but with presence and consistency. Amen.
