Win the Morning

Day 68 of 365  •  FOCUS

How long will you lie there, O sluggard? When will you arise from your sleep?

Proverbs 6:9–11 (ESV)

Proverb Truth

I used to think successful people had something I didn’t: More discipline. More motivation. More talent.

But over the years, I’ve discovered that many successful people simply learned the value of ordinary routines. Nothing flashy. Nothing complicated. They just learned to start well.

Because the way we begin our days often shapes the way we live our lives.

Now, I’m not suggesting that holiness begins at 5:00 a.m., and I’m certainly not saying God loves early risers more than night owls. But I am saying that intentionality matters.

Too many men wake up already behind. The phone becomes the alarm clock, social media becomes the first voice they hear, and anxiety becomes their companion before their feet even touch the floor. I’ve found that my days go differently when I begin them with God. Not perfectly. Just differently. Because before the world starts demanding my attention, I need to remember whose I am.

Jesus in Action

Throughout the Gospels, we repeatedly see Jesus withdrawing to lonely places to pray. Before the crowds arrived and before the demands of ministry filled His day, He spent time with His Father. Those quiet moments prepared Him for everything that followed.

Forged Wisdom

Epictetus said: “First say to yourself what you would be, and then do what you have to do.”

Purpose begins long before the day gets busy.

The No Limits Challenge

Spend the first ten minutes of tomorrow with God before reaching for your phone.

Prayer

Father, help me begin each day with You. Teach me to prioritize what matters most and to walk into each day anchored by Your presence. Amen.
