Quiet Confidence

Proverb Truth
When I was younger, I thought confidence was loud.
I thought confident people always had the answer, always took center stage, and always made sure everyone knew what they were capable of.
But life has introduced me to a different kind of confidence.
The strongest men I’ve known rarely felt the need to announce their strength. They listened more than they spoke. They served more than they boasted. They didn’t need constant validation because their identity wasn’t built on the opinions of others.
I’ve discovered that insecurity talks a lot. Confidence doesn’t have to.
Jesus in Action
Jesus never seemed concerned with impressing people. He knew who He was because He knew whose He was.
That kind of security changes everything.
Forged Wisdom
Epictetus taught: “Seek not to appear great, but to be great.”
There’s a difference.

Listen more than you speak today.
Prayer
Father, help me find my identity in You rather than in the approval of others. Teach me the quiet confidence that comes from knowing I am Your son. Amen.
