February  •  Day 3

Small Hinges

Day 34 of 365  •  FORMATION

The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, while the soul of the diligent is richly supplied.

Proverbs 13:4 (ESV)

Proverb Truth

Someone once said that small hinges swing big doors.

I think that’s true. Little habits. Little decisions. Little routines.

They don’t seem very important in the moment. But over time, they shape our lives.

Nobody accidentally becomes healthy. Nobody accidentally builds a strong marriage. Nobody accidentally develops deep faith.

Those things are built one day at a time. And while we tend to underestimate small choices, God doesn’t. Because He knows that little things eventually become big things.

Jesus in Action

Jesus consistently withdrew to pray.

It wasn’t flashy. It wasn’t dramatic. But those quiet moments with His Father sustained everything else.

Forged Wisdom

Seneca wrote: “Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.”

Big changes often begin with small choices.

The No Limits Challenge

Choose one small habit you want to strengthen this month. Start today.

Prayer

Father, help me value the small things. Teach me to remain faithful in daily habits and trust that small acts of obedience produce lasting fruit. Amen.
