Finish with Wonder

Proverb Truth
One of my prayers these days is surprisingly simple. “Lord, don’t let me lose my wonder.”
Because I’ve noticed how easy it is to become cynical. To become distracted. To become so familiar with life that we stop noticing its beauty.
But I don’t want that. I want to remain amazed. Amazed by sunsets. Amazed by grandchildren. Amazed by answered prayers. Amazed by God’s grace. Amazed by the simple privilege of being alive.
Because wonder protects gratitude. And gratitude protects joy.
Jesus in Action
Jesus often pointed people to simple things. Birds. Flowers. Children. Bread. Because heaven’s greatest truths are often hidden inside ordinary things.
Forged Wisdom
Marcus Aurelius wrote: “Observe constantly that all things take place by change.” And perhaps the greatest change is learning to see everything as a gift.
The No Limits Challenge
Spend time today simply noticing beauty.
Prayer
Father, keep my heart tender and full of wonder. Help me never lose my gratitude, my joy, or my amazement at Your goodness. Amen.
