October  •  Day 24

Slow to Anger

Day 297 of 365  •  FINANCES

Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding…

Proverbs 14:29 (ESV)

Proverb Truth

Impulse is expensive. It costs clarity, relationships, and direction. And most of the time, it happens faster than you think.

A reaction. A word. A decision made in the moment—and suddenly, something shifts.

You’ve likely felt that. A moment where slowing down would’ve changed everything. Where control would’ve protected what reaction damaged.

That’s the difference. Wisdom slows down.

Jesus never moved impulsively. Even under pressure, He remained composed. That control wasn’t passive—it was intentional.

Slow down—and you strengthen your response.

Jesus in Action

Jesus never moved impulsively. Even under pressure, He remained composed. That control wasn’t passive—it was intentional.

Forged Wisdom

Marcus Aurelius wrote: “The best answer to anger is silence.” Slowing down creates strength.

The No Limits Challenge

Pause before your next reaction today.

Prayer

Father, slow me down. Help me respond with wisdom rather than impulse and protect what matters most through patience and self-control. Amen.
