Self-justification is one of the hardest things to detect. Because it sounds right. It makes sense. It feels reasonable. It allows you to move forward without fully confronting what might be off.
And that’s where danger sits.
You’ve likely experienced that. A decision you justified in the moment—only to see later that something wasn’t fully aligned. Not because you didn’t think—but because you didn’t question your thinking.
That’s the gap.
Jesus never operated from self-justification. He stayed aligned with truth—not just what made sense in the moment.
