August  •  Day 26

Your Body Was Made to Serve

Day 238 of 365  •  FITNESS

Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it.

Proverbs 3:27 (ESV)

Proverb Truth

These days, I don’t think about strength in terms of performance. I think about service. I want to have enough strength to help people. Enough energy to play with grandchildren. Enough health to travel with my wife.

Perhaps that’s why taking care of ourselves matters. Not because we’re trying to preserve youth. But because we’re trying to preserve usefulness.

Jesus in Action

Jesus used His strength to serve others. He healed. He taught. He walked. He washed feet. And in doing so, He redefined greatness forever.

Forged Wisdom

Musonius Rufus wrote: “Strength exists for noble purposes.” Loving others is among the noblest purposes of all.

The No Limits Challenge

Use your strength today to bless someone else.

Prayer

Father, help me use my strength to serve others and glorify You. Amen.
