The Danger of Drift

Proverb Truth
I’ve never met a man who planned to neglect his marriage. I’ve never met a man who intentionally wanted to drift away from God. Those things rarely happen because of one big decision. They happen because of drift.
Drift is subtle. It’s missing prayer for a few days. Postponing difficult conversations. Neglecting exercise. Ignoring friendships.
Course corrections are easier when they’re small. Because small adjustments today often prevent major regrets tomorrow.
Jesus in Action
Jesus lived with extraordinary intentionality. He knew where He was going. He knew who He belonged to. And because His life was anchored in His Father, He never drifted from His purpose.
Forged Wisdom
Marcus Aurelius wrote: “If you do not know to which port you are sailing, no wind is favorable.” Direction matters.
The No Limits Challenge
Ask yourself honestly: “Where have I begun to drift?” Then make one small adjustment today.
Prayer
Father, help me recognize areas where I’ve slowly wandered. Give me the humility to make corrections and the wisdom to live intentionally. Amen.
