Guard Your Heart

“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”

Proverb Truth
I’ve discovered that life is often an inside-out journey. When I was younger, I thought most problems were external. But life has a way of teaching us otherwise.
Because eventually you realize that the condition of your heart affects everything. A discouraged heart sees problems everywhere. A grateful heart sees blessings. A prideful heart damages relationships. A peaceful heart brings stability.
I’ve seen successful men lose their marriages because they neglected their hearts. And I’ve seen ordinary men with deep faith and quiet peace become rich in ways money could never measure.
Jesus in Action
One of the things I love about Jesus is that He always focused on the heart. While others were impressed with outward appearances, Jesus looked deeper.
Forged Wisdom
Marcus Aurelius wrote: “The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts.” Because what fills our hearts eventually shapes our lives.
The No Limits Challenge
Pay attention to what you’ve been feeding your heart lately. Is it producing peace? Or anxiety?
Prayer
Father, help me guard my heart carefully. Protect me from distractions, bitterness, pride, and fear. Fill my heart with Your truth and teach me to live from the inside out. Amen.
