Brothers Across Generations

Proverb Truth
One of the things I’ve come to appreciate more with age is the beauty of friendships across generations. Older men have perspective. Younger men have energy. And somewhere between the two, wisdom gets passed along.
I can see men God placed in my life whose influence changed my direction. They didn’t necessarily preach sermons. Most of the time, they simply lived faithfully.
Now that I’ve grown older, I find myself wanting to do the same. Because wisdom was never meant to end with us.
Jesus in Action
Jesus welcomed people of every age into His life. His love crossed generations. And perhaps brotherhood should too.
Forged Wisdom
Epictetus wrote: “It is impossible for a man to learn what he thinks he already knows.” Humility keeps us teachable.
The No Limits Challenge
Spend time with someone older or younger than yourself this week.
Prayer
Father, thank You for the people who have poured into my life. Help me remain teachable and use me to encourage those coming behind me. Amen.
