Be Easy to Encourage

I’ve discovered that pride makes life much harder than it needs to be. Because pride quietly closes doors. Doors to wisdom. Doors to growth. Doors to relationships.

The older I get, the more I appreciate men who are humble enough to listen. Men who don’t have to win every argument. Men who understand that wisdom often enters through the door of humility.

Jesus, though perfect, demonstrated humility in every relationship. He listened. He served. He loved. And humility made Him approachable.

Epictetus wrote: “We have two ears and one mouth so that we can listen twice as much as we speak.”
