The Example You Set

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Proverb Truth
When we hear this verse, it’s easy to think Solomon is only talking about formal teaching. But I’ve come to believe that some of the most important lessons children learn happen when we don’t realize we’re teaching.
They’re watching how we respond when we’re tired. How we handle stress. Whether we keep our promises. Whether our faith is something we talk about or something we actually live.
The truth is, our children may not remember every sermon we preach. But they’ll remember whether Dad laughed. Whether he listened. Whether he made home feel safe.
Jesus in Action
Jesus invested deeply in twelve ordinary men. Not merely by teaching them, but by walking with them. Living before them. Loving them. Showing them what life with the Father looked like.
Forged Wisdom
Musonius Rufus taught that education is most effective when virtue is practiced, not merely discussed. Because truth lived out is far more powerful than truth merely spoken.
The No Limits Challenge
Live today in a way you’d be proud for your children to imitate.
Prayer
Father, help me become the kind of man whose example leads others toward You. Let my life tell the same story my words proclaim. Amen.
