Stay Teachable

One of the things I’ve noticed about life is that the older we get, the easier it is to believe we’ve seen it all.

After all, experience teaches us a lot. But experience can also fool us into thinking we have nothing left to learn.

The wisest people I’ve met have been lifelong students. They ask questions. They remain curious. They listen more than they speak.

And perhaps most importantly, they don’t confuse experience with wisdom.

Because wisdom requires humility. It requires admitting that no matter how far we’ve come, God still has things He wants to teach us.

And honestly, that’s good news. Because growth doesn’t stop when we reach a certain age. It stops when we stop listening.

Although Jesus possessed all wisdom, He continually lived in submission to His Father.

He demonstrated that humility and teachability are strengths, not weaknesses.

Seneca wrote: “As long as you live, keep learning how to live.”

Growth belongs to the humble.
